How Much Would It Cost to Add Remote Keyless Entry to My Car?

I have a 2001 Toyota Camry, and I’d like to get remote keyless entry for it (it’s got automatic locks, so I assume that’s doable). Do I have to go through the Toyota dealership to do that? How much would this cost? Will price differ depending on where I go? Thanks!

I had my this installed on my car (remote starter, alarm control and trunk) and it was $250.00. That was 5 yrs ago when the car was new so it should be around $300-400 now.

Whether you can have this installed independently depends on your warranty. You need to call the Toyota service department and ask them (give them all your car info) and they will let you know if it would void your warranty.

Good luck and go for it, I love mine.

I got my ’03 Corolla’s keyless entry system for $200 including installation . You can go to an aftermarket place which should be cheaper than a dealership.

I have also installed keyless entry system in my Toyota Camry. It cost me $215. May be it also depend on the area you live.

  5. I always wished my old Honda Accord had keyless entry. I ended up breaking my key twice by hurrying to get in the car. The cheapest package I found at the time was around $175.00.

  6. You can either go through a dealership or visit local auto stores who might have more keyless remote designs and/or cheaper prices.
