Keyless Entry Installation in 2003 Kia Sorento? Please Help!?
Hello,
My 2003 Kia Sorento came without the Keyless Entry option, and we have decided that we would like to install one.
Best Buy offers a Viper Keyless Entry System for 0 (Basic Installation Included)… but I found a hardware store that sells another aftermarket Keyless Entry kit that you can install yourself for much cheaper.
I’ve never done this, nor do I know how it is done. Has anyone done this? Anyone have any advice or directions on how I can do it myself?

I would recommend that you go with best buy unless you are good at following very general directions.
A basic key less entry requires splicing into the existing lock system,
if there is also an alarm you will need to splice into the lighting system, this is used to trigger the alarm when the door releases the button that turns the lights on.
If the system also has a remote starter then is get terribly complicated.
