Why Is My Nissan Xterra Alarm/entry Remote Behaving Inconsistently?

My keyless entry alarm/remote for my 2005 Nissan Xterra was working fine one day, then wouldn’t work the next unless I was really close, or sometimes, only after pressing a dozen times while really close. This sudden behavior happened for both remotes. I changed the batteries in both, replacing with the correct battery type, and it seemed to work fine again… at least, for a few more times, then again.. it wouldn’t work unless I was really close to the vehicle. There have been some other funky "electrical" related issues – the tire pressure warning comes on when there’s no issue, and the low washer fluid warning is on… (but has been on for a long time). Could this be an issue with the car battery? Computer system? Loose wire? Right now, my concern is with the keyless entry.. is there a quick fix? Anything I can check on my own before forking over $$$ to the mechanic? Thanks!

check the cars battery..a bad bat or dirty connection makes car computer go nuts…ive repaired many cars by cleaning bat cables or replacing battery.
